Some thoughts about...war. Theay are not in any particular order...just thougths. I am not talking About the US and not about Iraq or Afghanistan. But you may have noticed that the middle east is burning. Burning...fire and hatred is burning there. This is far away from Europe, from Germany. But as a Christian I am allways thinking "what the **** is going on there??" I used to be very intererested in politics, in german Politics buut in international politics as well. So the same there. Once I was looking at the different groups, at the Hamas, 
the Islamic Dschihad (however I should write this name), the israeli army and their intelligence service. And of course at the isreli Gouvernmanet. I was trying to figure out their targets, the reasons for violence and the strategies behind. But now? No way! The only thing I notice is that people ar beeing killed. Killed by persons that they do not know...that do not have any personal cause for not-liking these people. I hate war. To me it is important that the israeli state, the country with its borders will last. Hopefully in that state that it has 40...50 years ago. I mean no one in middle east is believing this...I am not sure if I do so. Have a look at the image on the right. I do not know how many people were killed during the last attacks in Beirut. And how many will be killed in the next few hours...days... And how many of them were innocent? (By the way: who is innocent?) And no: I have not forgotten the many dead isrelis caused by suicide bombers from the other party. The other party? Who is this? The one part seems clear: Isreal and (hopfully) the mayority of its residents. But who are their enemys? The Palestinians? The Hamas and the Hisbollah? Iran? The whole arabian world? This does not seem that clear. I do not have any idea where this is leading us to. Just wanted to say that I hate war. And killing people. Waht gives someone a right to kill anotherone? The knowing that this will prevent many dead on the other side?? This can not be right...this will only bring up more hatred. What brings me to the beginning again. I hate war!
Last night I read some lyrics. You may not know the band mewithoutYou. I really love the band...their music and their lyrics. Have a look at Carousels. Ii made me so warmly smiling and forgetting al the things above mentioned while I was reading these lines:
